A custom domain puts your galleries on your own address, such as photos.yourbrand.com instead of yourname.photohawk.com. It's part of the Pro and Max plans.
Before you start
You need to own the domain already, bought from a registrar such as GoDaddy, IONOS or Cloudflare. Photohawk can't sell you a domain. A subdomain like photos.yourbrand.com is usually easiest.
Set it up
- Go to Settings in the main menu, then the Custom domain tab.
- Enter your domain and save it.
- At your domain provider, add the DNS record shown: a CNAME record pointing your domain to the address Photohawk gives you.
Once the record is in place, your galleries and pages are served on your domain. DNS changes can take a little while to spread. You can add up to 3 custom domains.
On Lite, the tab shows an upgrade prompt.
