Welcome to Photohawk. These are the steps from a new workspace to a gallery people can find their photos in.
1. Create a gallery
Go to Galleries and choose New Gallery. Give it a name, check its URL, and say whether the photos are free to download or for sale. If you're selling, choose a product list (or create one later). Every new gallery starts with one collection. See Create a gallery for each field.
2. Upload your photos
Open the gallery's Upload tab and choose Open uploader. Drag in your photos or a folder. You can send small previews first so the gallery is ready in minutes while the originals keep uploading. See Upload with the web uploader.
Photohawk scans each photo after it arrives, for selfie search and bib search. There's nothing to tag by hand.
3. Set up selling or free downloads
In the gallery's Settings, the Selling & downloads tab sets whether people buy their photos, download them free, or both. See Sharing or selling photos.
4. Make it look right
- Your branding: go to Settings (in the main menu), then Branding, for your logo, colours and fonts. Every gallery uses them unless you give a gallery its own theme.
- A cover photo and listing image: in the gallery's Settings, on the Media tab.
- Watermarks: on the Watermarks tab. A gallery that sells uses Photohawk's default watermark until you upload your own.
5. Publish and share
The gallery's Overview tab shows what's left to do. When it's ready, choose Publish now (or Publish from the gallery's menu). Then copy the link with Copy public gallery link and send it to participants or the event organiser.
