Split a gallery's revenue

On the Max plan, share a gallery's sales with photographers, crews, clubs or sponsors. Photohawk works out each share and pays everyone.

Updated October 29, 2026

Revenue splitting shares each sale in a gallery with the people who helped make it: photographers for the photos they took, a crew, a club, a sponsor. Photohawk works out each share on every order and pays them for you. It's part of the Max plan.

Set up a split

Open the gallery, then Settings, then Selling & downloads, and find the Revenue split card. Owners and administrators can change it.

  1. Turn the split on.
  2. Add allocation for each person or group: - Who: a team member, a group of two or more members, or someone outside your workspace (a name and an email for payouts). - Share: a percentage of each sale. - Which sales: All sales in this gallery, Photos they took (uploaded or credited), or Sales from these collections.
  3. Check the totals: allocations add up per photo, and no photo can come to more than 100%. The card shows what your workspace keeps.
  4. Choose Save revenue split. People added by email are invited straight away.

Copy from another gallery fills the list from another gallery's split. Use workspace default uses the Default revenue split you set in Settings.

What the percentage is of

Each share is a percentage of what's left of a sale after the card processing fee, Photohawk's commission and, for prints, the lab cost.

Getting paid

Each share waits 3 days after the sale, then until the person's payout account is ready. Photohawk pays them once they're owed at least US$25 or the equivalent, and emails them each time. A payout fee of £3.50 (or the local equivalent) comes off each payment. Team members see their earnings under Account → Earnings.

Changing a split

Changes apply to sales from the moment you save. Past sales keep the split they were sold with, and anyone you remove is still paid what they've earned.
