How you're paid depends on who collects your buyers' payments.
If you've connected your own Stripe account
Buyers pay into your Stripe account. Photohawk's commission and the card fees are taken automatically, and Stripe pays your balance to your bank on your Stripe payout schedule. Check your payouts in your Stripe dashboard.
Connect Stripe from Account & Billing, under Payouts, with Set up payouts.
If Photohawk collects your sales
Your sales build up a balance on the Balance & Payouts page, and you request payouts from it.
1. Set up the payout account
Payouts go to one person's own payout account: an owner or administrator of the workspace. Who receives payouts shows who that is ("Payouts go to"). They set up their bank details with Set up payout account (or from Account → Payout account), and it shows Ready when it's done.
Only an owner can change who receives payouts. For security, every owner and the current recipient are emailed, payouts are held for 72 hours before a new person can be paid (another owner can confirm it sooner), and anyone emailed can cancel the change. The person chosen must accept, and their payout account must be Ready.
2. Watch your balance
Funds become available 3 business days after each order. Until then they show as pending.
3. Request a payout
- Under Balance, choose Request payout.
- All available orders in that currency are selected. Untick any to leave for later, or filter by gallery or date.
- Confirm. Allow 3 business days for the payout to be processed.
Payout history shows each payout, its orders and its status. If a bank transfer fails, its orders go back into your available balance and you can request again.
If a payout hasn't arrived
Allow for bank processing times, weekends, holidays and international transfers. If it still hasn't arrived after 5 working days, email support@photohawk.com with the payout ID from Payout history.
Questions people ask
Is there a payout fee?
No, not for workspace payouts. Revenue-split payments to photographers and partners have a payout fee of £3.50 or the local equivalent.
Is there a minimum payout?
No minimum is enforced, but very small payouts can take longer. We recommend waiting until you have at least US$25 or the equivalent.
