I can't find myself in a gallery

Six things to check before deciding the photographer missed you, from the right gallery to asking the photographer.

Updated October 29, 2026

Work through this list before you decide the photographer missed you:

  1. Check you're in the right gallery. Distance, wave, day and even the photographer can differ. Big events often have one gallery per distance.
  2. Give it time. Large galleries are uploaded in batches, and searches only cover photos that are already up. Check again the next day.
  3. Run both searches. If you tried your number, try a selfie, and the other way round.
  4. Try a different selfie. Better light, no glasses, facing the screen.
  5. Browse where and when you were. Galleries are often split by location (start, course, finish) or can be searched by time.
  6. Ask. Use the contact details in the gallery or on the event's page, with your bib number, a selfie and roughly when and where you were. Photographers can often find someone in a few minutes.

Not everyone is photographed at every point, and in a crowded pack some faces are always hidden. If you've tried everything above, the shot may simply not exist.
