Integrations: your own analytics and advertising tools

Add Google Analytics 4, a Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Pinterest Tag or Microsoft Clarity to your galleries on Pro and Max, loaded only after cookie consent.

Updated November 2, 2026

Integrations add your own analytics and advertising tools to your public galleries. See where visitors come from, measure your ads, and build audiences of people who visited. You paste only each tool's ID: Photohawk adds the tool's standard code and sends it what happens in the gallery.

The tools

ToolWhat it's forThe ID looks like
Google Analytics 4Visits, searches and sales in your Google Analytics propertyG-ABC123DEF4
Meta PixelMeasuring Facebook and Instagram ads15 or 16 digits, like 123456789012345
TikTok PixelMeasuring TikTok ads20 letters and digits, like CABCDEFGHIJ123456789
Pinterest TagMeasuring Pinterest ads13 digits, like 2612345678901
Microsoft ClarityHeatmaps and session recordings8 to 12 lower-case letters and digits, like abcd1efgh2

Each tool has a step-by-step guide: Google Analytics 4, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Pinterest Tag and Microsoft Clarity.

Which plan

Integrations are part of the Pro and Max plans. On Lite, the Integrations tab shows the tools locked, with an upgrade prompt. If you move down to Lite, your tools stop loading on your galleries straight away. The IDs you saved are kept and work again when you upgrade. See Plans: Lite, Pro and Max.

Add your IDs

The workspace owner or an administrator can change integrations.

  1. Go to Settings in the main menu, then the Integrations tab.
  2. Paste the ID next to each tool you use. How to find your ID opens the tool's own help page.
  3. Choose Save integrations.

Every gallery in your workspace then loads those tools. To remove one, clear its ID and save. Only an ID is accepted, never a code snippet. If what you paste isn't in the tool's format, you'll see an example of what it should look like.

Each gallery can do something different. Open the gallery, then Settings, then the Integrations tab, and for each tool choose:

  • Use workspace setting: the default. It shows the workspace's ID, or "not set".
  • Off for this gallery: the tool doesn't load on this gallery.
  • A different ID: this gallery uses its own ID, for example a client's pixel for their event. It works even when the workspace has no ID for that tool.

Then choose Save integrations. Manage workspace IDs takes you to the workspace's list.

Nothing loads until a visitor chooses Accept all in the gallery's cookie banner, which tells them the gallery owner's own analytics and advertising tools may be used. If they choose Decline, none of your tools load and nothing is sent.

On galleries with your tools, a small Cookie settings link stays in the bottom corner, so visitors can change their mind at any time. When they withdraw consent, nothing more is sent, and the tools that support it are told to stop.

So your tools only see visitors who accepted. Their numbers will usually be lower than the visits in the gallery's Analytics tab.

What your tools receive

In the galleryWhat's sent
Page viewThe page address, without any search in it
Photo viewedThat a photo was opened, nothing about the photo or the people in it
SearchOnly that a search happened, and its kind: selfie, number or text
Add to cartThe value and currency when known, and the number of items
Checkout startedThe value, currency and number of items
PurchaseThe value, currency, number of items and order number
Photos-ready sign-upThat someone signed up to hear when photos are ready (a lead)

Each tool receives these under its own standard event names: the guides list them. A purchase is sent once per order, from the order confirmation page in the gallery. Refunded or failed orders aren't sent.

What's never sent

Faces, selfies, names, email addresses, phone numbers and bib numbers are never sent to your tools, and neither is what someone searched for. Tools read the address of every page, so on galleries with your tools, searches are kept out of the page address too. Your tools and Photohawk's own analytics are kept apart: neither receives the other's events.

Your responsibility

You choose these tools, so you're responsible for them. Make sure you have a lawful basis to use them, and mention them in your own privacy notice: which tools, what you use them for, and that visitors can change their choice with Cookie settings in the gallery.

Check it's working

  1. Open one of your galleries in a private browser window, so the cookie banner shows again.
  2. Choose Accept all.
  3. Open a photo and try a search, then look at the tool's live view: - Google Analytics 4: Reports, then Realtime. - Meta Pixel: Test events in Meta Events Manager. - TikTok Pixel: Test events in TikTok Events Manager. - Pinterest Tag: the Pinterest Tag Helper browser extension. - Microsoft Clarity: Recordings, which can take up to two hours to appear.

Ad blockers and strict tracking protection can stop the tools loading, so test without them.

Questions people ask

Why do my tools show fewer visitors than the gallery's Analytics tab?

Your tools load only for visitors who accept cookies in the gallery's cookie banner, and ad blockers or a browser's tracking protection can stop them too. The gallery's Analytics tab counts every visit, so your tools' numbers are usually lower.

Can I add Google Tag Manager or another tool's code?

No. Integrations accept only the ID of one of these five tools, never a code snippet. Photohawk adds each tool's standard code, so nothing else runs on your galleries.

What happens to my IDs if I move to Lite?

Your tools stop loading on your galleries straight away. The IDs you saved are kept, and they work again as soon as you're back on Pro or Max.
