Password-protect a gallery

Ask visitors for a password before they can see, search or buy from a gallery. Set it on the gallery's Access & security tab.

Updated October 29, 2026

A password keeps a gallery private, for client sessions, schools, corporate events or anything that shouldn't be open to everyone.

  1. Open the gallery, then Settings.
  2. Go to the Access & security tab.
  3. Turn on Password protect and enter a password.
  4. Choose Save settings.

Visitors then need the password before they can see the photos, search, add to their cart or check out. Password-protected galleries are also left out of Find your photos.

To change the password later, type a new one; leave the box blank to keep the current one.
